_Publish from Apple NotesMy friend Will has over 1000 song lyrics in an Apple Notes folder. Another friend, Anya, has a collection of poems that have been just sitting there for years. I have a few nearly finished blog posts about topics I’m not so interested in anymore. And my friend Manuel has a collection of recipes that he shares with family and friends.
And we look back at them and feel that while they’re not perfect, we feel they’re worth putting out there for the world to see. Or maybe just one person to see. But we don’t want to go to Wordpress, select a theme, choose a domain, figure out the pricing models and then copy, paste things over plus another dozen or so things we’d have to do. Because we know we won’t bother going through all that and so the content will in Apple Notes and will never see the light of day.
But here’s an alternative. Montaigne allows you to create, publish and maintain a site without ever having to leave Apple Notes.
Here’s how it works.
Step 1 - Create a site on Montaigne. Takes 10 seconds
Step 2 - If you don’t already have one, create a dedicated folder in the Apple Notes for the content you want to share. Takes about 10 seconds.
Step 3 - Connect it to Montaigne. Takes about 20 seconds.
Share folder with us
Connect the site to the folder
Step 3 - Everything in your shared folder be published to the web automatically
Step 4 - Add, remove, change content in the shared folder and the site will update without you ever having to do anything!
It’s as simple as that. It takes a couple of minutes and you’ve shared your content! It’s that easy.
As you can see above, it’ll be published to sitename.montaigne.io. If you want to use a custom domain, drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll hook it up for you.
Any questions, comments, feedback, suggestions welcome!
Keep on publishin’.
